Why we’re here
This site has been created by a group of ordinary people who have become child sponsors and orphanage founders through the work of the Afghan Child Education and Care Organization (AFCECO). AFCECO provides quality care and education to hundreds of children in orphanages in Afghanistan.This is a gathering place for those who wish to:
- bring public attention to the plight of children in Afghanistan;
- further the efforts of AFCECO in providing education and a safe haven for Afghan children;
- build a support network for Afghan child sponsors and donors;
- spotlight fundraising events and opportunities;
- explore ways to pool resources, promote activities and brainstorm effective fundraising strategies;
- encourage others to become child sponsors.
Become a sponsor
Share the joys of sponsorship
Are you already a sponsor? Then you know that the greatest beneficiary of your sponsorship is you. The satisfaction, privilege and joy of being a sponsor is something to be celebrated and shared.
As a sponsor, you can encourage others to become child sponsors by:
- Writing about your experiences as a sponsor and contributing to our blog.
- Sharing your experiences in Afghanistan if you have been there.
- Joining our discussions about creative ways to help in tough economic times.
- Spreading the word about this site and the work of AFCECO.
